New Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai has been a very popular choice for new car buyers since it made its UK debut in 2007.  The 5-door crossover SUV is available as both a front-wheel drive and a four-wheel driver model, and in 2010 it became the first model produced by the Japanese carmaker Nissan to reach the top ten in the UK sales charts in for 27 years.  For those of a patriotic bent, the Qasqhai was styled by Nissan Design Europe in London, with its engineering developed by the Bedfordshire-based Nissan Technical Centre Europe, and built at Nissan’s UK assembly plant in Washington on Tyne & Wear.

Prices for the Nissan Qashqai range from £16,495 for the entry-level Nissan Qashqai 1.6 Visia, rising to £27,895 for the 7-seater Nissan Qahqai+2 2.0 dCi Tekna 4WD.  The Nissan Qashqai 1.6 Visia is powered by a 1.6-litre 16-valve petrol engine, and fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox returns a fuel economy figure of a combined 45.6mpg.  1.6-litre diesel engines offered in the £19,445 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi Visia and the £20,945 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi Acenta return a combined 62.8mpg.  The Nissan Qashqai has driver, passenger, and front side airbags as standard, as well as stability control, and boasts a reassuring 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The Nissan Qashqai has a boot capacity of 410 litres, rising to 860 litres with the seats down.  This is improved upon in the 7-seater Nissan Qashqai+2, which has a seats-up boots capacity of 450 litres, increasing to 1,520 litres once the seats are lowered.

All new models in the Nissan Qashqai range come with a 3-year, 6,000-mile manufacturers warranty when purchased new from Nissan’s network of main dealers in the UK.
